authors note: i wanna give a shout out to Danielle B and Jamesha Robinson for being my first ever comments yall rock for that. even though i'm sick i'm still posting this chapter cause they made me that happy.
nicki had been in the hospital for three weeks now. today was the day she got out. the doctors believe that her injuries have healed enough and were relieved that she was leaving. nicki was what the doctors called the patient out of hell. she wouldn't eat, cried all day, wouldn't take her meds, and tried countless times to escape. she fought with the nurses and the doctor and wouldn't let anyone visit her but drake. the hospital was more than happy to get nicki out of there.
"okay mr. graham her internal bleeding has stopped, she still have some scratches and bruises. her broken wrist will be fully healed in three weeks here is her discharge papers,"the nurse said super fast trying to speed things up.
"um thank you can i get her perscripti......"
"'here you go got it right here now sign here and you can take her home," the nurse interrupted with such eagerness.
"okay," drake replied looking for a pen. "do you have a....."
"here," she interrupted throwing a pen at him. he signed the paper and took the prescription.
"yeah thanks,"drake said unconvinced. drake led nicki to the car and helped her in.
"where are we going?" nicki asked while drake put on her seat belt.
"i'm going to take you home."
"no i'm not going back there. take me anywhere but there," nicki demanded.
"you have to go home because all your stuff is there. haven't you ignored them enough you wouldn't let them visit you when they did come you gave them the silent treatment. nicki enough is enough,"drake reasoned.
"i didn't ignore them i ignored lauren and don't want to be around her."
"why?"
"because she is a bitch that needs to learn how to keep my families name out her mouth,"nicki said through clenched teeth. the car got silent drake didn't know what to tell her to change her mind. she seemed pretty serious about it. nicki crossed her arms over her chest and let the tear she has been holding on to slowly fall down her cheek. drake, not wanting to upset her even more, gave up.
"okay then where do you want to go?" drake asked starting the car.
"can i stay with you please. just for awhile," she asked uncrossing her arms.
"i don't know if that is a good idea what if......."
"please just for awhile i don't want to go back there," nicki pleaded wiping her eyes. the car went silent again and he turned the car off.
"i don't know how to take care of you like lauren and tt does. it would be best for your well being if you stay with them."
"i am not a baby i don't need anybody to take care of me," nicki said raising her voice.
"then why are you asking to live with me? huh? nic you're not eligible to live by yourself and you know that. you need someone to be with you and it would be safer and wise to live with the people you grew up with," drake reasoned.
"drake please," nicki was barely able to get out through the tears. drake was stressed out and just wanted to go home and take a hot shower. if taking nicki with him would make the process faster then he was willing to do that.
"alright nicki just.......just stop crying please."
"thanks," nicki said while feeling for him and giving him a hug. drake started the car and drove to his condo. by the time he got there she was sleeping against the window. he turned the car off and went over to the passenger's side of the car. he opened the door slowly and caught her head before it fell. he unbuckled her seat belt and carried her inside the house. he laid her down in the guest room before he went to his room and took a long hot shower. he got out and went straight to bed with nothing but his boxers on.
