please hold me pt.2 ch.14

   it started to rain. a drop of precipitation on her cheek woke nicki up from her unconscious state. she couldn't tell how long she was out. all she knew was it was raining and freezing cold. she slowly got to her feet feeling light headed. she began to walk straight having no idea where she was going as long as it was away from everyone and everything. she was walking for a good two hours before her legs could no longer hold her weight. she was feeling around for something to grab but to no avail. she felt so weak, underestimating her injuries. she laid down and feeling defeated and started to silently cry.

 "i couldn't find her. lauren are you sure she went left when she entered the woods?" drake asked.

 "yes i was following her and then she just disappeared," she choked out. this was drake's 5th time looking for nicki in the woods. it has been six hours since nicki disappeared.

 "that's it i'm calling the police," drake said reaching for the house phone.

"NO wait because if you do she would be in the center of attention and she will hate me even more," lauren said taking the phone and wiping her loose tears.

"laur she doesn't hate you," tt tried to sympathize.

"yes she does she basically said that."

"lauren i believe she hates me more than you. i'm  the one who got the shoe to the balls," drake joked. lauren and tt started to laugh.

"omg about that are you okay."

"mhm, i'm gonna go back out there and look for her i'll be back in a few," drake stated.

"okay sb is coming over to help," tt informed.

"okay tell him to meet me there," drake said while walking out the house. drake jogged the trail and stopped at a hill. "dead end. where could she have gone?" drake asked getting frustrated. he heard movement behind him.

"nicki?"

"naw  man it's me," sb said walking up to drake.

"oh."

"no luck huh."

"no. i don't know where she could have gone. i've check the whole area she just up and disappeared," drake said sitting down in the wet dirt putting his hands in his hands.

"we can find her," sb said while sitting beside him. "how far could she have gone. she's blind for god sake she can't even see where she is going. how could she have just vanished?" sb questioned.

"man i don't know sh--" drake paused looking down the steep hill. "i'm and idiot," drake said before running down the hill. near the end drake tripped and slid the rest of the way to the bottom. no fazed by it drake started running.

"what is it!!!!!" sb yelled cautiously went down the hill. drake ignored him  and kept running in the rain. running anywhere, every where as long as it led to her. while slipping and sliding on the wet ground, drake wouldn't slow down. after he reached about a mile and a half he started yelling her name.

"NICKI.......NICKI......NICKI......NICKI.....NICKI!!!!!!"

the sound of someones voice  made nicki feel as if she was being paranoid. she stopped crying a few minutes ago she was just laying there being soaked by the rain. till she heard the voice come closer and the closer it came the words and the voice came out more clear. drake was yelling her name. seeing this as her only chance of survival she used the only energy she had left to scream his name.

"DRAKE I'M OVER HEAR.....*cough*.......DRAKE.....DRAKE.....DRAKE," nicki coughed/cried. the warmth of his arms wrapped around her mad her feel safe.

"nicki....nicki....nicki....nicki...."the sound of his voice became smaller till she couldn't here it anymore, as she fell back int an unconscious state.

    "nicki where are you!?!?!" lauren asked panicking.  "I JUST CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE I HATE MY LIFE!!!!!!" nick cried. tt took the phone away from lauren, "nicki don't say that... just tell me where you are and i'll come pick you up and we can talk about it," tt reasoned. all she heard as a response on the other line was sobbing, sniffling and the pitter patter of rain in the back ground. "nicki.....nicki....nic please answer me," tt pleaded. nicki was breathing so hard contemplating her next move. "goodbye," "what nicki wai....." tt was interrupted by the buzzing of lauren's phone indicating the call ended.

12 HOURS BEFORE

   three months have passed since drake and nicki meet. they have been getting along very VERY well. they became best friends and talked daily. it seemed as if they had a daily routine. drake would wake up call her and talk to her for two good hours. they would take a shower (not together or in the same place)  brush their teeth etc. drake would go to work, while nicki would sculpt, paint or make pottery. after they did that it would be around 5 o'clock when drake would come over and they would talk and joke around till she'd fall asleep. he would tuck her in and kiss her goodnight before leaving and going home. but today was different drake called her but she didn't pick up he tried a few more times but still nothing. he shook it off deciding to call her later. he got ready and went to gis exhibit.  while drake was  working on  his new exhibit he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. he stopped and decided to call nicki again. still no answer. wanting to give nicki space so she doesn't find him as a stalker, drake decided to wait till later and drop by her house.

     " nicki i know you're hungry. open the door i have some of your favorites Chinese rice with some sea food on the side," lauren convinced. she got no answer so she went on. " its that fish you like with shrimp and soda. i don't have any steak or salad i didn't think that would be a good mix," lauren humored. with no response lauren gave up. "fine nicki you win i know what today is and what happened on this date depresses you but you won't have to feel alone if you'd let us in. we all love you and you always distance yourself from us around this time and a few weeks after. its not fun for you and you make it the same for us. hopefully one year you would spend this day around the people that love you instead of in your room." with that lauren left her door and went down the stairs.

   *NICKI'S POV*

      no one understands me." stay around the people that love you," what a bunch of bull. IS SHE INTENTIONALLY TRYING PISS ME OFF!!!! SHE KNOWS DAMN WELL THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT LOVED ME ARE DEAD!!!!!! and it's all my fault.

*NO ONE'S POV*

    nicki started to cry for the umpteenth time today. today was the fourteenth anniversary of her families death. every year at this time she would lock herself in her room and go over the scenes of that day in her head over and over again. this time for some reason she was hurting more. something was different about this year something was off. she was aware of drake's missed calls and every time her phone rang she didn't even flinch. she was in and out of sleep. when she wasn't asleep she was crying. when she was asleep she was having nightmares about that night. she was a wreck.

       drake was on his way of nicki's house. he finished the day early because he knew something wasn't right. when he go there he knocked on the door impatiently. tt answered and he walked right passed her to nicki's room. he tried to open the door but it was locked and she never locked her door. "nicki  are you okay its me drake." he got no response. lauren walked out of her room from across the hallway.

"she's not gong to answer you she is always like this at this time."

"what are you talking about," drake said while turning around.

"today is the day her family died. it happened along time ago when she was around ten or eleven. she became depressed ever since. so depressed she lost her eye sight. the incident blurred her vision but she could see after they got her out of there."

"  got her out of what," drake questioned. before lauren could respond nicki swung her door open banging it on the wall.

"lauren shut up," nicki said through gritted teeth. " you know nothing absolutely nothing about what happened so my family shouldn't be coming out your mouth!!!!!" she screamed this time.

"nicki i'm sorry i di...." before she could finish nicki pushed through her and drake and started to speed walk down the stairs. tripping over the last one she felt her way to the back door. drake jogged after her  and grabbed her waist while she was trying to unlock the door. "nicki calm down lets talk." nicki didn't say anything she kept trying to unlock the door feeling her way to the knob pulling at it. she was becoming frustrated tears pouring out of her eyes. "nicki stop lets sit down and talk okay," drake said putting his hand on her face and wiping away some of her tears. she smacked his hand finding the lock and knob again. finally turning it the right way the door opened. "nicki stop," he said closing the door still holding her waist. he grabbed her hands and she started to wiggle in his grip. "let go of me now!!!!" "nicki stop fighting me," drake commanded while managing to pick up one leg. nicki started to swing the other leg and it swung in between drake's legs. drake fell to the floor still holding her. she rolled out of his arms as his hands went to hold junior. nicki got on her feet a little unbalanced and felt her way to the door. feeling for the knob, she couldn't find it. lauren ran down the stairs when she heard drake groaning and got on her knees beside him asking what happened. nicki heard her and started panicking feeling for the knob. she finally found it and yanked it open running out the door. "get nicki," drake said while still rolling on the floor in pain. lauren took off after her. chasing her into the wooden area behind the house. nicki was stumbling over sticks having no idea where she was going.she just kept on running. holding on to trees for leverage, she heard some rustling in the back ground and started running even faster. lauren hot on her tails. nicki slipped and rolled down a steep hill. finally reaching the end nicki laid there in so much pain. lauren stopped when she didnt see anymore movement. she started to yell her name but got no answer or so she thought. "lauren, i'm down here," she tried to crock out but it wouldn't come out. lauren turned around and headed toward the house to get drake. nicki laid there feeling dizzy seeing spots. she was trying her hardest to stay calm and awake. but then she started to sink into darkness even darker than it was before.

writers block

this is my first writers block for this story. i'd expected to get my first writers block when i was further along in the story. it's like i know what i want to be next but every time i try to type it up it can't come out.i guess its the stress from basketball. our tournaments is finna start so she works us till we can't stand. anyway when it comes to the story i'm not going to stop posting more chapters even though the lack of comments are killing me slowly. it has come to the point were i think no one really likes it, but then i see how many people read it which gives me hope. but if i get all these views what is stopping people from commenting. so i'll try and get through my writers block. it may take a while since i keep changing how my story line will go. so till next time.
